The Far East will receive a single development institution headed by Eduard Cherkin

Eduard Cherkin has been appointed General Director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (CDFEA). The CDFEA will become the basis for a new unified development institution subordinate to the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

The organization is being created instead of the liquidated Agency of the Far East for attracting investments and export support (IES), the Agency for the development of human capital (ADHC), as well as the Far East and Arctic Development Fund (FEADF), whose functions are transferred to its 100% shareholder – VEB.RF.

Electronic Declaration Centers (EDC) in the Far East will operate seven days a week during New Year holidays

Two centers of electronic declaration, located in the Far East region, will work seven days a week on New Year’s holidays.

From 1 to 10 January 2021 the Vladivostok customs post (EDC) will operate daily from 10.00 to 20.00. The post accepts declarations for goods transported by water transport.
